INFUSION PHARMACIST – SPECIALTY PHARMACY
Location: Bentonville, AR 72712
Pay Rate: $65.75/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30/6:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Saturday & Sunday approximately once every 3 weeks
On-Call: Optional; typically very low phone volume
JOB SUMMARY
A leading national specialty infusion company providing complex pharmaceutical products and clinical services to patients outside the hospital setting is seeking an experienced Infusion Pharmacist for its Bentonville, AR location.
IMPORTANT: Previous infusion pharmacy experience is REQUIRED for this position.
The Infusion Pharmacist will be responsible for prescription verification and dispensing, sterile compounding and preparation, medication safety, patient counseling, pharmacy operations, inventory management, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Job Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with applicable laws and pharmacy regulations.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential medication overuse patterns.
- Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, drug interactions, and potential medication-related problems.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
- Counsel patients regarding medication use, dosage, storage, side effects, adverse reactions, and drug interactions.
- Provide consultation regarding prescription and non-prescription medications.
- Provide patient services including smoking cessation counseling, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound medications for internal and external use.
- Prepare sterile solutions in accordance with established procedures.
- Support safe and accurate infusion pharmacy operations.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, and other pharmacy staff.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and medical supplies.
- Identify drug-related problems and communicate recommendations to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the applicable state pharmacy board.
- PREVIOUS INFUSION PHARMACY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
- Experience with sterile compounding and preparation of sterile solutions.
- Strong knowledge of medication safety and pharmacy procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong patient counseling and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPR+ pharmacy software experience is a major plus, even if experience is not recent.
- Specialty pharmacy experience.
- Additional sterile compounding experience.
