Ingredient Storage - Cleaning Specialist

Job Title: Cleaning Specialist
Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm | Pay: 16.25/hr

Position Summary

The Cleaning Specialist is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing and storage areas to support food safety, quality, and production requirements. This role includes preparing and mixing chemical cleaning solutions, operating sanitation equipment, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
• Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, raw ingredient, and packaging storage
• locations.Prepare and accurately mix cleaning chemicals according to approved procedures.
• Operate sanitation equipment, including:
  • Self-propelled floor scrubbers
  • Floor buffersChemical dispensing and cleaning equipment
• Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements while performing assigned duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Operate a forklift or similar equipment when required by specific tasks (training provided and/or experience preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 0 to 1 year of related experience in sanitation, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience or certification.
• Previous experience in a food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
