This is a manufacturing company that specializes in injection molding such as toolbox, heavy truck, heating and cooling identification and Point of Purchase displays.

1st Shift: 6am - 4:30pm
Monday-Thursday, (optional OT opportunities)
Pay Rate:
$16 /hr.
Work environment:
It is a small locally owned and operated business. It can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Can be a dirty environment in plastics.
Job Description:
An Injection Molding Material Handler/Utility Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently preparing and mixing, moving, and distributing materials within an injection molding facility. This role ensures a smooth production process by delivering the correct materials to injection molding machines, helping to maintain inventory, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Material Handling:
Transporting raw materials (like plastic resins, colorants, and additives) to and from storage and molding machines.
Machine Preparation:
Loading hoppers and dryers, setting up material handling equipment (blenders, dryers, vacuum loaders), and ensuring proper material flow to the machines.
Inventory Management:
Maintaining accurate records of material usage, performing cycle counts, and assisting with inventory counts.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Quality Control:
Inspecting materials for quality and ensuring they meet production standards.
Documentation and Communication:
Properly labeling and storing materials, documenting material usage, and communicating with machine operators, supervisors, and quality personnel.
Housekeeping and Safety:
Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines, and following company policies and procedures.
Requirements:- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and carry materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment. The candidate must be able to climb short ladders (4-5 stairs), read schedules and labels to determine proper supplies, operate an electronic scale, move heavy cartons and barrels ranging from 50 – 100 lbs using a 2 wheel cart, record counts, do simple math including addition, subtracting and ratios, and the ability to read and understand any potential health hazards using plastic resins.
