Injection Molding Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Your Mission

Safeguard production by preventing failures, resolving issues fast, and documenting everything that keeps our plastics molding operation reliable.

Outcomes You’ll Own

• Uptime & Utilization: Partner with the Maintenance Manager to keep equipment running at peak effectiveness.
• PM Systemization: Create, standardize, and record preventive maintenance for injection molding machines, granulators, dryers, water tower, and chiller.
• Smart Capital Decisions: Draft specifications and recommend auxiliary/other equipment purchases.
• Rapid Recovery: Diagnose and repair production and facility equipment across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic domains.
• Field Mobility: Safely use skid loaders, scissor lifts, and forklifts to access and service equipment.
• Traceability: Maintain precise logs—PM schedules, installs, structural repairs, work orders, and operating reports.
• Budget Stewardship: Monitor parts inventory and expenses to meet budget targets.
• 24/7 Readiness: Be on call around the clock for issues that could jeopardize customer commitments.
• Process Capability: Calibrate molding machine controls; verify screws and barrels meet minimum requirements.
• Facilities Expertise: Provide technical assistance for electrical systems, building construction elements, and plumbing.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead upgrades and sustain a clean, orderly work environment and grounds with strong 5S.
• Other duties as assigned.

Tools, Systems, and Skills You’ll Apply

• Industrial mechanical systems: hydraulics, motors, pumps.
• Industrial electrical: reading schematics and troubleshooting complex control wiring.
• Controls familiarity: understanding of logic controls (preferred).
• Documentation: engineering drawings; electrical and hydraulic schematics.

What You Bring

Education

• High School diploma or GED.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience that includes injection molding machinery; experience with blow molding or extrusion is an acceptable alternative.
• Proven track record troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to find root causes and deliver on-time, on-budget fixes.
