Keep a high-volume plastics plant running at its best

As our Injection Molding Equipment Reliability Technician, you’ll be the go-to pro ensuring soft trim lamination lines, injection molding cells, auxiliary systems, and core facility infrastructure are ready for plant startup and dependable through ramp-up to full production. You’ll blend hands-on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls know-how with sharp troubleshooting instincts to keep uptime high and quality consistent.

A day in the life

Your shift kicks off walking the molding floor, checking robots and support gear, confirming preventive work orders are cleared, and verifying critical assets are production-ready. When issues emerge, you zero in fast—isolating faults across hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, or PLC I/O—so production keeps flowing. You’ll stage molds, handle alignment and calibration for smooth launches, and partner closely with operators and supervisors to optimize cycle times and eliminate repeat problems. Between calls, you’ll update logs, schedule the next round of PMs, and coordinate spares through procurement so the right parts are always on hand.

What you’ll tackle

  • Planned and reactive maintenance on injection molding machines, robots, and auxiliary equipment to ensure smooth startup and sustained output.
  • Rapid diagnostics and repair across hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to minimize downtime.
  • Mold setup, alignment, and calibration that supports efficient launches and consistent quality.
  • Maintenance of building systems: plumbing, HVAC, electrical distribution, and hydraulic infrastructure.
  • Creation and execution of periodic maintenance schedules and tasks.
  • Spare parts planning and ordering through procurement to prevent stockouts.
  • Accurate, detailed maintenance recordkeeping.
  • Collaboration with production to improve equipment performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Adherence to safety and environmental standards to protect people and equipment.
  • Daily demonstration of reliability, ownership, and a positive, cooperative attitude.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or equivalent hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
  • 3+ years maintaining injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2–3 years as a maintenance, electronics, or robotics technician; plastic injection mold machine experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability with a solution-first mindset.
  • Comfort working with PLCs, hydraulics, robotics, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, plus HVAC and plumbing.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and learn new processes quickly.
  • Competence with 12VDC up to 480VAC 3‑phase power.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to support delivery commitments.
  • Punctual, dependable, and collaborative with production teams.
  • Able to lift and handle 50 pounds.
