Injection Molding Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Location: Garden Grove, CA
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour + $1.00/hour 2nd Shift Differential
Schedule: Monday Friday, 1:00 PM 9:30 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Overtime: Daily and weekend overtime may be required

Position Summary

We are seeking an Injection Molding Machine Operator to support plastic injection molding operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating molding equipment, reading blueprints and work orders, monitoring production processes, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet customer and quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to understand customer and production specifications.
• Operate plastic injection molding machines to produce quality parts according to work instructions and blueprints.
• Monitor process temperatures and injection pressures to identify potential non-conformances.
• Verify machine settings and product specifications by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, Vernier calipers, and optical comparators.
• Identify and report parts or processes that do not meet required specifications.
• Perform occasional preventive maintenance according to manufacturer instructions.
• Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Injection molding or machine operation experience is a plus.
• Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings is preferred.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and established procedures.
• Must be able to work daily overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
