Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Operator to support a high-performance manufacturing operation in Bristol, RI.
This is a hands-on technical manufacturing position responsible for injection molding machine setup and operation, thermoplastic processing, robotics, auxiliary equipment, basic machine maintenance, quality inspection, heat treating, and curing.
The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of injection molding or thermoplastic processing experience and is comfortable independently setting up and operating molding equipment, monitoring machine parameters, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring finished parts meet quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate injection molding machines for scheduled production jobs.
- Perform mold setups and thermoplastic processing.
- Operate injection molding machines, robotics, auxiliary equipment, tumblers, and packaging equipment.
- Monitor critical machine parameters, including temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
- Identify and escalate machine or production issues when necessary.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Support heat-treating and curing processes as required.
- Inspect manufactured parts to ensure they meet customer and quality specifications.
- Complete detailed inspection plans and production reports.
- Run department equipment under established standard operating conditions.
- Follow written procedures, work routers, and production instructions.
- Accurately record production data and report problems as they occur.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Safely handle raw materials and hazardous waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S principles.
- Follow all PPE, safety, health, and environmental requirements.
- Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives involving output, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Perform assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Support additional production activities as directed.
The current requisition emphasizes mold setup, machine operation, robotics, auxiliary equipment, parameter monitoring and quality inspection. The attached Molding Operator description adds preventative maintenance, raw-material handling, data recording, work routers, and continuous improvement responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3–5+ years of injection molding and/or thermoplastic processing experience.
- Experience performing injection molding machine setups.
- Experience operating injection molding machines and related production equipment.
- Experience with robotics and auxiliary equipment.
- Basic machine maintenance experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain production schedules and high attendance standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, FOD prevention, and 5S standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience.

Physical Requirements
This is an active manufacturing position requiring the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.

- Perform visual inspections and close-up work.
- Work in above-ambient temperatures.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Safely work around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
