    Description

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Press Technician to support molding operations and ensure efficient and reliable performance of molding presses. This role requires a strong background in injection molding processes, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

    Essential Functions

    • Support the Molding Business Units objectives by identifying problems and implementing corrective actions.

    • Perform molding press repairs, maintenance, and preventive maintenance.

    • Follow established safety standards and operating procedures.

    • Maintain awareness of product performance and quality requirements.

    • Assist technical resources in troubleshooting molding presses, improving process efficiency, and maintaining equipment.

    • Serve as a Diagnostic Technician within the molding environment, with expertise in mold and press technologies.

    • Develop a working knowledge of assigned equipment, including setup, adjustment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

    • Take daily direction from the Molding Process Engineer and Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician.

    • Calibrate, adjust, and maintain molding systems to meet production requirements.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Perform duties as directed by the Molding Process Engineer and/or Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician.

    • Direct or assist support personnel in equipment modifications, process adjustments, or installation/removal of equipment.

    • Provide technical guidance to external press vendors and controls/electronic technicians when required.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years experience in a molding environment.

    • Molding Processing Certification (RJG Essential/Master Molder I) or comparable training.

    • Demonstrated ability to understand complex molding concepts and principles.

    • Hands-on experience in:

      • Mold press maintenance and troubleshooting

      • Hydraulic and servo-controlled systems

      • Mold temperature controller programming and maintenance

      • Material feed systems (silo through hopper)

    • Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day shift.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Training at a major molding press manufacturer (maintenance and repair).

    • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
