About the Opportunity
ProStaffing is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established plastics manufacturer seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer.
This position offers the opportunity to lead process development, improve manufacturing performance, and support new product launches within a modern injection molding operation. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, tooling, and engineering teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do
Develop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes.
Troubleshoot molding defects and implement permanent corrective actions.
Improve cycle times, process capability, productivity, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Support new product introductions and process validations.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, Tooling, and Production to resolve manufacturing issues.
Develop and maintain standardized process documentation.
Implement statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven process improvements.
Support preventive maintenance initiatives that improve equipment reliability.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
Assist with equipment, tooling, and process qualifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
Must have 5+ years of injection molding process engineering experience.
Strong plastics processing knowledge.
Experience with process optimization and scientific molding principles.
Knowledge of PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
Experience with SPC, process capability, and quality systems.
Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
