Injection Molding Setup & Process Optimization Specialist

About the role

• Own machine startups and parameter tuning to hit quality, efficiency, and output targets.
• Execute mold changes and changeovers with precision and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot part defects—short shots, flash, burn marks, sink, and dimensional variation.
• Adjust temperatures, pressures, cycle times, and cooling to stabilize the process.
• Verify first-piece acceptance and document process updates clearly.
• Partner with production, maintenance, and quality to resolve issues quickly.
• Support preventative maintenance and equipment triage.
• Maintain a safe, orderly work area.

Core qualifications

• 3+ years in an injection molding process tech capacity
• Demonstrated independence with mold changes
• Understanding of resin behavior and molding methods
• Diagnostic mindset with strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to interpret work instructions and quality criteria
• Consistent attendance and stable employment history

Preferred

• Scientific molding exposure
• RJG or comparable processing coursework
• Background in high-throughput manufacturing
• Experience with automation/robotics
