Injection Molding Value Stream Supervisor

Join AmbaFlex and lead the performance of our injection molding value stream. Reporting to the Injection Mold & Maintenance Manager, you will coordinate people, equipment, and materials to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production—while driving measurable improvements every day.

What you’ll do

• Safety & 6S
  • Model and enforce safe work practices, PPE, and LOTO.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, audit-ready workplace aligned to 6S.
  • Identify hazards early and take corrective action.
• Production Planning & Control
  • Build and execute daily schedules to meet demand.
  • Optimize machine utilization, staffing, and mold changeovers.
  • Monitor actuals vs. plan; reallocate resources to hit targets.
• Quality & Process Performance
  • Ensure output meets defined quality standards.
  • Track cycle time, scrap, rework, downtime, and process capability.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Reporting & Inventory Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate production, downtime, scrap, and labor data.
  • Verify inventory accuracy and material availability.
  • Execute ERP/MRP transactions and reporting requirements.
• Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and support operators and technicians.
  • Provide performance feedback and training support.
  • Conduct effective shift handoffs and communicate priorities and expectations.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture.

Minimum requirements

• 5 years of injection molding manufacturing experience.
• 2 years in a supervisory capacity within production.
• Solid understanding of molding processes, tooling, materials, machines, and quality systems.
• Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving.
• Competence with spreadsheets, production reporting, ERP/MRP, and inventory management.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical training/education in plastics manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related fields.
• Background in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, production scheduling, and process troubleshooting.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Additional technical or manufacturing-related education preferred.
