Innovation Manager (Medical Device Marketing & Clinical Evidence)

Location: Remote (Must be located near Boston, MA; North Haven, CT; or Minneapolis, MN)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (Significant collaboration with teams in Western Europe)
Pay Rate: $60.00 $70.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Innovation Manager to support a high-visibility Digital Technologies (DT) Marketing team. This role will play a critical part in driving the execution of the Admin Value Workstream and advancing the Innovation Incubator Program, partnering closely with key hospitals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to generate clinical and economic evidence that supports value-based healthcare initiatives.

This position sits within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment that includes Marketing, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Policy Research (HEPR), Clinical Affairs, and Legal teams. The ideal candidate brings a blend of medical device marketing, product management, clinical expertise, evidence generation, and KOL engagement experience.

Key Responsibilities

Evidence Generation & Value Strategy

  • Capture and track standardized metrics across hospital and pilot sites to support key program objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure Innovation Incubator sites are properly established and supported throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Partner with hospitals, pilot sites, and KOLs to gather insights and refine engagement strategies.
  • Translate clinical and real-world evidence into compliant, differentiated marketing claims and value propositions.
  • Develop and maintain claims matrices, value messaging frameworks, and documentation for Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Affairs and other stakeholders to identify evidence gaps and support data-generation strategies.

Launch & Commercial Execution

  • Lead cross-functional launch planning activities with commercial, clinical, and regional teams.
  • Drive submission of marketing materials through regulated review processes while ensuring brand and messaging consistency.
  • Develop surgeon-facing positioning, messaging, and clinical engagement content.
  • Create field enablement materials, including training resources, case studies, videos, and procedural support tools.
  • Support podium strategy, publications planning, and integration of clinical evidence into marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 8 years of experience in medical device marketing, product management, commercial execution, or related healthcare industry roles.
  • Experience supporting product launches, field marketing, sales enablement, or clinical marketing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare stakeholder engagement, and market adoption strategies.
  • Experience working with KOLs, healthcare systems, and evidence-generation programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical data into compelling, compliant marketing messages.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed, global organization and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

  • Medical device, surgical technology, digital health, or healthcare technology experience.
  • Experience supporting global or international teams.
  • Familiarity with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes.
  • Background in evidence-based marketing, value proposition development, or health economics initiatives.
