MedStar Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant for our Hematology/Oncology department. This position is full-time (1.0FTE) and is solely in the inpatient setting. Schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, with option for call/weekend coverage.

This role is ideal for an Advanced Practice Provider who values patient-centered care, thrives in a team environment, and is capable of navigating complex and sensitive conversations with patients and their families. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inpatient consults for new cancer or blood disorder cases
• Evaluate and manage new patients admitted to the hospital
• Follow up with established inpatients to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Completion and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
• CPR certification required
• 1-2 years inpatient experience - preferred
• Eligible for Maryland and DC licenses
