Position Overview:

BayCare Medical Group, the leading physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking two Inpatient Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Adult & PediatricNeurosurgery team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a rapidly growing neurosurgery practice serving both pediatric and adult patients across the greater Tampa Bay region. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate with a desire to grow within a high-volume, high-acuity specialty.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • High-acuity, hospital-based neurosurgical care
  • Hospital-based rounding, consults, and OR support
  • Light weekend daytime call rotation (~1:7)
  • Collaboration with ICU and surgical teams
  • Functioning as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality neurosurgical care.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified PA (NCCPA)
  • Active Florida license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with pediatrics preferred; must be comfortable seeing pediatrics.
  • Neurosurgery experience strongly preferred; Candidates with neurosurgical clinical rotations considered
  • Strong knowledge of brain and spine pathologies
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, high-acuity environment
