How You'll Make an Impact in This Role
Core Pharmacy Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate medication management (selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing) • Review medication orders to proactively prevent and resolve drug-related issues • Recommend clinically appropriate, cost-effective, formulary alternatives • Prepare and compound medications for precise, timely patient delivery • Serve as the primary drug information source and educate staff and patients • Communicate with physicians and clinicians to ensure seamless patient care
Supervisory and Academic Duties:
• Supervise technical staff in medication and supply preparation, inventory, and dispensing • Contribute to academic programs, potentially precepting pharmacy students
Flexible Coverage and Patient Care:
• Provide required patient counseling • Float to various areas to maintain comprehensive pharmacy coverage
What Minimum Requirements You'll Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
Education:
• Bachelors or advanced degree in Pharmacy required
