Location: Raleigh, NC 

Position Type: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE | 40 hours/week 

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Daytime Hours

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a psychiatrist to join the team at UNC Rex Hospital’s Main Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care to both adolescent and adult patients while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The position offers a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist looking for meaningful clinical work with a strong work-life balance. 

Position Highlights 

• Full-time position: 1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week 
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM 
• Inpatient psychiatric care 
• Patient population includes adolescents and adults 
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment

Qualifications 

• MD or DO degree required 
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry 
• Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure 
• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and commitment to patient-centered care 
• Experience working with adolescent and/or adult psychiatric populations preferred
