Pay range from $31.14/hr. - $38.06, depending upon experience. Bonus opportunities available.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for following up on member inquiries, internal leads or digital leads provided by the Credit Union to assist members with their mortgage or home equity needs.  Pre-qualify and consult members to determine the program that best fits their specific financing goals and obtain required documentation necessary for loan processing. Responsible to ensure that TruWest is protected by proper and timely execution of documents and collection of documentation. Provide best in class service to members, employees and business associates while demonstrating the values shown on TruWest Vision, Mission, and Value’s card. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently to achieve loan production goals. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of TruWest’s products and services in order to identify cross sell opportunities, which will benefit the member.

NLMS registration or eligibility for NMLS registration required

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. An Associate Degree in a related field is preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the mortgage industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

·       Must possess a thorough working knowledge in all aspects of the mortgage industry

·       Excellent organization and time management skills are required to ensure the TruWest quality of service.

·       Strong people skills with the ability to be able to professionally communicate the loan process to those involved with the mortgage loan.

·       Must understand, maintain and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of FNMA, Home Equity, VA, and FHA loan programs, required documentation and mortgage terminology.

·       Demonstrate experience with mortgage origination software, Microsoft Word and Excel.

  1. Manage and convert leads through various lead sources, such as trigger leads, digital marketing inquiries and data mining.
  2. Originate mortgage loans that conform to FNMA, FHA, VA and other portfolio specific guidelines.
  3. Understanding of Home Equity and Non-Conforming guidelines.
  4. Must perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines.
  5. Take complete applications and follow-through with all aspects of the mortgage loan process from time of application to loan closing.
  6. Educate the borrower about the entire mortgage process.
  7. Follow credit union policies for compliance with all laws and regulations, specifically, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, Security Policies and Confidentiality Policies.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
