Position Overview

A growing organization in the manufacturing, distribution, and food sectors is seeking a driven Sales Representative / Account Manager to manage and expand a defined territory. This role is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across industrial, commercial, and food-related accounts.

The ideal candidate is a hunter-mentality sales professional who can also nurture long-term relationships, understands technical or regulated products, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a territory by identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and account management
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Provide pricing, quotes, and product recommendations based on customer needs
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and customer data using CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, food, chemicals, or industrial products is required
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Preferred Experience

  • Background selling into food manufacturing, food ingredients, raw materials, or chemical/industrial markets
  • Experience working with ERP systems and sales reporting tools
  • Established relationships within manufacturing, food production, or industrial sectors
