Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Pay: $20–22/hour DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 4am - 5pm

Join a respected stone and tile showroom as an Inside Sales Representative in Topsham, Maine, where you'll support customers, drive sales, and contribute to a vibrant design and construction community.

As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll play a vital role in assisting customers, generating sales opportunities, and ensuring an exceptional client experience. You'll collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing team to deliver personalized solutions while working in a friendly showroom environment that encourages learning and development.

What You'll Do


As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:
  • Greeting customers in the showroom, answering phones, and responding to emails professionally and promptly.
  • Interpreting architectural and cabinet drawings to understand customer needs.
  • Receiving, tagging, and managing incoming tile and accessory samples.
  • Creating accurate estimates using countertop and tile software based on customer specifications.
  • Contacting homeowners, contractors, and designers to relay project details and coordinate scheduling.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and internal teams from templating to installation.
  • Sourcing stone slabs and tiles for projects, preparing purchase orders, and coordinating procurement activities.
  • Following up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve issues, and encourage reviews.
  • Educating customers about natural stone, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean, organized showroom environment.

What You'll Bring


The ideal candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in sales, customer service, or retail — experience in design, construction, or the tile industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with a positive, professional, and outgoing demeanor.
  • Comfort speaking in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural plans.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Ability to learn new software such as Moraware through provided training.
  • Valid transportation and reliable attendance.

Additional physical requirements include sitting, standing, or moving around the showroom as needed, operating standard office equipment, and occasionally lifting materials up to 50 lbs.

Location & Schedule:


This is an on-site position in Topsham, Maine, working primarily indoors with some time in the shop or warehouse. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for extended days as needed.
