As CableMaster, a GCG Company, continues to expand its reach in composite cable, wire, and related products, we’re seeking a driven Inside Sales Account Manager to identify where wire and cable products are needed, get in front of the right contacts, and build a pipeline that turns into long-term business.
As our Inside Sales Account Manager, you'll focus on developing new accounts through consistent outreach, follow-up, and market awareness. You’ll spend your time prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and working to convert interest into active customers, while staying closely aligned with internal teams on pricing, margin, availability, and execution.
Success in this role comes from staying proactive, keeping a full pipeline, and following through on opportunities from first conversation to first order—and beyond. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, managing multiple opportunities at once, and maintaining momentum without waiting for direction.
This is an on-site role based in New Berlin, WI to enable in-person collaboration with our commercial and operations teams.
New Business Development & Opportunity Hunting
Proactively identify, target, and develop new OEM and industrial accounts requiring composite cable, wire, and custom assembly solutions
Generate and qualify new leads through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, market research, and strategic follow-up
Leverage copper and aluminum metals knowledge to identify application-driven opportunities and differentiate CableMaster’s value proposition
Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline with a strong focus on new customer acquisition
Drive early engagement with customers to uncover specifications, performance requirements, and commercial needs
Account Ownership & Relationship Development
Serve as the primary point of contact for newly acquired and developing accounts
Establish credibility with customers through technical understanding, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through
Position CableMaster as a long-term partner by aligning customer requirements with internal capabilities
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding product capabilities, timelines, pricing, and next steps
Support account growth through cross-selling, up-selling, and identification of follow-on opportunities
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of opportunities, customer interactions, and pipeline activity within CRM and ERP systems
Track opportunity status, follow-up actions, and forecasted revenue
Prepare internal updates related to sales activity, pipeline health, and key opportunities
Utilize Excel and other reporting tools to support sales analysis and management reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum of 5 years of experience in inside sales, account management, or business development within an industrial, metals, wire, cable, or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of copper and aluminum metals, including their use in wire, cable, or related industrial applications
Demonstrated success in hunter-style sales roles, including new account acquisition and pipeline development
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders
Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and drive consistent follow-up
Highly organized, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience using CRM and ERP systems
Preferred
Experience in the wire and cable, custom assembly, or related manufacturing environment
Familiarity with OEM customer programs, design-in opportunities, project launches, and ongoing production support
Technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer applications, product specifications, and operational requirements
Experience supporting both customer-facing account activity and internal project execution
Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on quality, responsiveness, and execution
Competitive base salary ranging from $68,000 - $75,000 per year dependent on experience and eligibility to earn quarterly commissions
