What You'll Do
The Inside Sales Associate develops and maintains customer relationships, provides product expertise, identifies sales opportunities, supports existing accounts, and works closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate order management, timely service, and successful project outcomes while contributing to branch growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business
- Prospect and engage new customers through outbound calls, email outreach, referrals, and other business development activities
- Follow up on leads, quotes, and open opportunities to maximize sales conversions
- Provide product recommendations and technical guidance based on customer needs
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and service requests
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and proactively while ensuring a positive customer experience
- Utilize CRM and ERP systems to document activities, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate customer records
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and product offerings through ongoing training and professional development
- Consistently achieve sales, margin, and customer engagement goals established by leadership
- Maintain accurate pricing, order, and customer information while adhering to company policies and procedures
- Support branch initiatives and contribute to overall team success
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales, business development, account management, customer service, or a related field
- Experience within low-voltage systems, security products, surveillance, access control, electrical distribution, technology solutions, or a related industry is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, multi-tasking skills in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, ERP systems, MS Office, and other business software tools
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently while contributing to the team
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and support
