Inside Sales Specialist

About the Role
As an Inside Sales Associate, you will serve as a key link between Prysmian, our customers, and our Outside Sales team, supporting the telecom fiber and copper business and playing a key role in driving customer satisfaction, revenue, and operational performance. You will partner directly with customers, Outside Sales, and cross-functional teams to deliver timely, accurate solutions and ensure orders move seamlessly from request to fulfillment.

This is a high-impact, fast-paced role where attention to detail, responsiveness, and strong collaboration directly influence business outcomes and customer success.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage Customer Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, building strong relationships while handling a high volume of requests.
  • Drive Quoting & Pricing: Analyze customer needs and specifications to deliver accurate, timely quotes including pricing, lead times, and product availability.
  • Own the Order Lifecycle: Manage order progress, communication updates, and collaborate with internal teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Resolve Issues with Ownership: Address returns, claims, and discrepancies, identifying root causes and driving resolution across teams.
  • Collaborate Cross Functionally: Work closely with Scheduling, Manufacturing, Shipping, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Support Sales Growth: Partner with Outside Sales and Sales Agents to contribute to account growth, customer retention, and identify opportunities that contribute to overall business growth.
  • Interpret Customer Requirements: Translate customer needs and technical specifications into accurate orders and solutions with support from internal teams.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer: Represent customer needs internally and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Contribute to Business Initiatives: Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives that support specialty market growth and new opportunities.

What We're Looking For:
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in customer service, sales support, account coordination, order management, or inside sales.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Capabilities:
  • Ability to manage customer relationships in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling quotes, orders, and data.
  • Ability to problem-solve and coordinate across multiple teams to resolve issues.
  • Comfort working with technical product information and customer specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Preferred:
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, AS400, or similar).
  • Familiarity with EDI processes.
