Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in San Diego, CA is looking to hire a full-time Inside Sales Coordinator to assist outside sales team members and walk-in customers with inquiries related to truck equipment sales. This full-time position is Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.General Description:Support outside sales team with quotations, responses to their inquiries and provide them with customer-related information. Create both standard quotes and custom quotes for truck equipment installations, manage inflow of customer orders, manage warranty claims and assist with sales promotional activity preparation.Reasons to work with us:Stability - We've been in business since 1848Growth opportunities - Over 25 retail stores and upfit centers, and continued expansionNever Settle - We're committed to adapt, overcome, and continuously improveCollaborative, supportive, and engaging work environmentsNorth America's most popular manufacturer of work truck bodies and truck bedsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Process quote requests provided by the outside sales team include equipment cost, freight, sell price and lead time for each opportunity.Research prior quotes/build data including material, labor and customer feedback in the creation of new quotations.Investigate options for each specification using supplier catalogs, websites, and other sources to verify the cost and lead-time in the quoteUtilize the preferred supplier network to build quotations and contact suppliers directly for price concessions on larger opportunitiesAssist the outside sales department with technical inquiries by developing working relationships with Purchasing and Engineering and involve as appropriate.Communicate directly with customers when required to clarify specifications, explain exceptions and / or changes/delays.Complete quotes in a timely manner, continually updating the system and the outside sales representative if delays are anticipatedProvide Parts Sales support for local store, including walk in customersManage and maintain Installation Purchase Orders (IPO) processing, ensuring orders are entered, tracked, and updated accurately.Deliver on-site support to monitor and update work-in-process orders, ensuring timely communication and status visibility.Prepare quotations and process orders for walk-in customers, providing exceptional customer service and product guidance.Develop and prepare municipality and custom equipment quotations, including researching specifications, pricing, lead times, and supplier options.Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure accurate pricing, availability, and order fulfillment.Maintain accurate records within company systems and provide timely updates on order status, delays, and customer requirements.Preferred Training and Experience:Inside Sales and/ or Estimator experience in Commercial Truck, Van or Trailer upfitting.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersExcellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesCompensation & IncentivesOpportunity to earn commission on qualifying sales, including parts sales.Health, Vision, Dental and 401K benefits offered12 Paid HolidaysEducation/Certification RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or work-related experience, preferredIf you are someone who takes pride in the work you do, never settles for second best, and is looking for a jump start on a new career, apply today!
