The FC Tech Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative is a critical member of our team. This role is responsible for supporting daily operations of the company – primarily through direct execution of technical business transactions with customers, suppliers, and internal operations stakeholders.Accuracy in day-to-day activities, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and an overall team attitude are paramount to this position. The Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative must be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to multitask, prioritize, & manage time effectively.

Job Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):

  • Responding to customer inquiries and requests timely
  • Answering technical product questions
  • Preparing & submitting quotations to customers
  • Receiving, reviewing, and confirming customer orders
  • Providing order and/or shipment updates to customers
  • Managing the order lifecyle – for orders placed by customers as well as orders placed to suppliers.
  • Developing and deepening a knowledge of our business’ industry and the technical acumen required for the products we represent.
  • Identifying and procuring products needed for customer orders and/or minimum inventory reorder levels.
  • Following up on lead generation by outside sales personnel.
  • Arranging and coordinating product logistics – including international freight, brokerage, and duties – to ensure efficient, cost-effective, & accurate delivery of products.
  • Controlling and managing inventory:
  • This is a tangential, but ongoing responsibility which may include participating periodically in monthly physical counts to validate inventory records
  • Supporting, executing, & continuously improving Quality Assurance Programs (QAP) and related Inspection & Testing Protocols (ITP) of products inventoried and sold, which may include processing, reviewing, and filing of Material Test Reports (MTRs) for products inventoried and sold.
  • Serving as on-call representative to customer and/or after-hours quotation/shipment requests (upon assignment).
  • Preserving confidentiality of business & transactional information.
  • Demonstrating a high-level of professionalism toward customers, suppliers, coworkers, and other relevant business stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  •  A bachelor’s degree is preferred (but not required)
  •  Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar industrial
  • environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications which include (but are not limited to) Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
