What You'll Do
As an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative, you'll be the vital connection between Fessenden Hall and our customers. Your mission is to provide exceptional service, build relationships, and help customers find the right solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and walk-in interactions
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Meet sales and service targets while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Provide accurate product information using database systems and supplier contacts
- Support Field Sales Representatives with administrative tasks and special requests
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Process customer orders and counter sales transactions
- Prepare and follow up on quotations for special orders
- Proactively contact existing customers to solicit orders
- Handle complaints and provide appropriate solutions
- Maintain records of customer interactions
- Operate cash register and process credit card payments
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in countertops, cabinetry, or related business is a plus
Essential Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations calmly
- Basic keyboarding and math skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Willingness to learn company software systems
- Forklift/warehouse experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Requirements:
- On-site position (not remote/work-from-home)
- Occasional overtime for inventory, meetings, or corporate activities
