Are you a customer-focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers find the right solution?Our client is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their growing team in Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys supporting customers from initial inquiry through order completion.
You'll work closely with customers, distributors, engineering, operations, and outside sales to deliver exceptional service while contributing to business growth.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare accurate product quotations, ensuring pricing, specifications, and delivery requirements are correct.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, applications, pricing, lead times, and order status.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and business partners.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers to support customer retention and territory growth.
  • Track outstanding quotations and proactively follow up on sales opportunities.
  • Assist customers in selecting products that best meet their needs.
  • Enter and maintain customer, quotation, and order information within Salesforce and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Verify order details, pricing, specifications, and shipping requirements.
  • Resolve customer concerns while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Develop knowledge of product applications, specifications, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate CRM records.
What We're Looking For
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications, dimensions, or engineered products is a plus.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, communication, research, and customer support.
