Job Details
Position: Full-time Inside Sales Engineer
Schedule:
A four-month 980 work schedule: a two-workweek schedule consisting of eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one scheduled day off. Then the schedule transitions to a standard Monday through Friday workweek with timing adjusted based on business needs.

Inside Sales Engineer Job Summary
The Inside Sales Engineer serves as the initial technical resource for customers, sales channel partners, and the outside sales team. The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving and managing the Sizing & Quoting stage of the sales process, and this role operates as a bridge between Customers and Admixs Engineering Operations and Finance teams. The focus of the role is identifying and providing reliable solutions for all applications issues, preparing accurate quotes, and effectively communicating requirements with customers and internal departments. The Inside Sales Engineer position reports to the Inside Sales Manager.
Inside Sales Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive initial customer calls and provide customers with a strong belief in our position as technical experts and our desire to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Interface with customers, sales representatives, and Outside Sales Managers as required to gather process data and information to generate equipment quotations.
- Utilize available tools such as computer programs and our previous process experience, and where required, interface with Engineering and Production departments to prepare detailed equipment sizing for sales representatives and Outside Sales Managers.
- Provide detailed quotations for presentation to customers.
- Provide back-up support to sales representatives and customers when Outside Sales Managers are either traveling or on vacation.
- Interface with customers and/or sales representatives as required to ensure that proposals are understood and follow-ups are properly executed.
- Work with our Lab Manager to gather sufficient process data and prepare requests for lab testing of customers materials/samples as needed to support the sales effort.
- Provide back-up support to our Lab Manager in executing lab tests.
- Process new equipment orders into our business system and maintain communication with the customer throughout the order process.
- Work with our Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to ensure that customer orders are fully understood and handled appropriately.
- Assist the Aftermarket team with any customer process-related issues that arise from new equipment commissioning.
- Utilize our CRM and assist in organizing and maintaining databases for sales applications, markets, etc.
- Participate in projects to improve and streamline all portions of the sales process.
Inside Sales Engineer Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Solid phone skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills - Excel, Word, data entry, database knowledge, etc.
- Strong ability to manage time, multi-task, and prioritize.
- Top-notch sense of urgency to handle customer needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Inside Sales Engineer Credentials and Experience
- Bachelors degree in the field of Engineering or Business is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a sales or customer service environment is preferred.
- Understanding of fluid process is preferred.
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce) is preferred.
Inside Sales Engineer Special Requirements
This position is primarily inside sales and, as such, will not have significant yearly travel associated with it. However, there is a possibility that this position may be asked to attend a trade show or accompany a Regional Sales Manager on sales calls or equipment start-ups to build a greater appreciation for our customer base and the applications surrounding our equipment.
Inside Sales Engineer Training and Development
Due to the detail and breadth of our product offering, the training period is expected to be at least 4 - 6 weeks. It is extremely critical that the Inside Sales Engineer has a very thorough understanding of the technical aspect of the equipment and can articulate where and how to apply it. It is also important that the manufacturing processes that surround the equipment are understood.
