Inside Sales Engineer (sales experience NOT required!)

50+ year-old (and growing!) industrial equipment engineering & manufacturing company has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Engineer. Engineers that are interested in getting into inside sales are welcome to apply!

Duties:

• Coordinate between customers, engineering, sales, purchasing, and accounting to develop accurate quotes for custom industrial equipment
• Collaborated with customers to gather technical specifications, streamlining communication with engineering teams
• Evaluate customer specifications and drawings
• Research and develop plans and support the design of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical products and systems based on information provided by customers
• Act as the liaison between Production/Engineering and the customer
• Coordinate with the customer, sales representative, regional sales manager, and customer service technician on field issues
• Work with customers, contractors, vendors and purchasing to resolve warranty issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing company (“engineered to order” product)
• Strong communication skills
• Interest or experience in a sales engineer role
• HVAC, refrigeration, or similar equipment experience a plus (but not required)
• Experience working with an ERP/MRP system
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel) skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Salary: $80-110K
