Younger Insurance Agency is looking for an Insurance Sales & Service Representative to join our growing team. Insurance experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person who brings the right attitude, work ethic, and commitment to customer service.

What You'll Do

This is an insurance agent position, so every day will be different. You’ll work directly with clients and prospects while also helping our existing customers with their insurance needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming clients and visitors with a professional, friendly attitude
• Building genuine relationships and learning about each client's individual needs
• Providing insurance recommendations based on those needs
• Identifying opportunities to offer additional insurance products and coverage
• Communicating with clients and insurance carriers by phone, email, and in person
• Responding promptly and professionally to client questions and requests
• Issuing new policies and completing post-bind activities
• Managing assigned policy renewals
• Handling general service requests
• Researching and resolving coverage questions
• Assisting with policy reinstatements and cancellations when applicable
• Maintaining accurate client information in our agency management system
• Following up with prospective and existing clients
• Supporting your teammates and contributing to the overall success of the agency

The Person We're Looking For

You don't need to know everything about insurance on day one. We can teach you insurance. We can't teach you to care about people.

• Has strong listening and communication skills
• Is comfortable having sales conversations without being pushy
• Can identify a customer's needs and recommend solutions

• Is comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player
• Is comfortable using computers and learning new technology
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills
• Is professional, trustworthy, ethical, and honest
• Wants to build a career, not simply find a job

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and insurance carriers
• Ability to obtain a Property & Casualty Insurance License prior to employment
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

Preferred, but not required:

• Previous insurance experience
• Sales or customer service experience
• Experience with insurance agency management systems

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Our schedule includes a combination of daytime hours, with at least two evening shifts each week and one Saturday shift approximately every three weeks.
