  • Develop, implement and influence best practices in the discipline of quoting, order entry and contract review.
  • Support both Inside and Outside Sales on the Long-Term Agreement (LTA) workup sheet Stock Specials. Supporting both parties on inventory management for LTA’s.
  • Review large bid packages for accuracy and profitable pricing/margin.
  • Ensure that all Inside Sales Representative have the tools and/or access to the tools needed to successfully complete their job.
  • Monthly meetings with Inside Sales Managers from all branches to work to uniform procedures across all branches; to discuss topics to formulate resolutions; to help implement changes and share best practices.
  • Actively participate and involve Inside Sales Representatives in training, including maintaining training documentation in Inside Sales Representatives training folders
  • Hiring, training and coaching Inside Sales Representatives; conduct annual reviews.
  • Analyze daily and monthly Inside Sales reports to monitor distribution of workload, individual capture rate and profit margins.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to meet branch specific material demands to customer’s requirements.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with Inside Sales Representatives
  • Acting Inside Salesperson – quoting, entering orders, communicating with customers, having account responsibility.
  • Work with Outside Sales Representatives to support and help find solutions.
  • Work with Quality Manager to ensure training is complete and document.
  • Actively participate in sales activities including customer calls, entertainment activities, industry trade shows and seminars
  • Work with Outside Sales and Product Managers to identify new market and product opportunities.

 

 

Physical Requirements: Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information) Function in the Job: Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable years of industry experience, with review and written approval from Sr VP of Sales and Marketing.
  • Prior experience in Outside or Inside Sales or combination; aerospace and defense markets; raw material sales.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Requires leadership capabilities; analytical skills to determine profitability on both large bid packages and daily transactions; negotiation and critical decision-making skills; effective communicator; capable of building and developing strong business relationships; presentation skills.
