THE ROLE
We are seeking an Inside Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our team and help drive our continued success. This role plays an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening our business, and contributing to the long-term growth of Douglas Dynamics.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Inside Sales & Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of day-to-day sales and marketing activities while delivering high-quality customer experience. This role serves as a key point of contact for distributors, upfitters, and internal teams, ensuring accurate order entry, responsive communication, and smooth coordination across the sales process.
In addition to supporting inside sales operations, this role leads foundational marketing efforts including social media, trade shows, and event coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, managing requests through resolution and follow-up to ensure a positive customer experience
- Partner closely with outside sales reps to support customers, solve problems, and keep the sales process moving smoothly
- Generate quotes, own the order entry process, and maintain organized and accurate records
- Proactively manage incoming leads by logging, routing, and connecting them with the right team members to keep opportunities moving forward
- Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the sales team, keeping operations organized and running efficiently to drive team performance and customer satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining website content and managing company social media channels to support brand visibility
- Take the lead on coordinating trade shows, customer events, and meetings, including logistics, materials, and scheduling
WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS
- High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an office environment
- 2–5 years of B2B customer service experience, including phone-based communication
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with quoting, order entry, or CRM systems preferred
- Working knowledge of social media and basic website updates for business use
