Inside Sales Representative

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join a family-owned industrial manufacturer and service company in Oceanside, CA. This position involves serving customers nationwide and is perfect for individuals who thrive in a high-activity, conversation-driven role.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute heavy daily outbound call activity to build and maintain relationships with existing customers, dormant accounts, and target prospects.
  • Have meaningful conversations with facility managers, plant engineers, maintenance directors, and procurement contacts to understand their operations, uncover service needs, identify upcoming projects, and learn about expansions or new equipment requirements.
  • Own follow-up and closing on service opportunities including preventive maintenance, repairs, retrofits, parts, and operator training.
  • Partner with the Service Department to develop quotes for service opportunities, then work jointly with the Service Department to deliver the quote to the customer and drive it to close.
  • Identify and qualify new equipment, engineered project, and manufacturing opportunities and pass them to the Project Engineering Department with strong handoff notes.
  • Answer inbound sales calls and quote requests, qualify the opportunity, and own or route as appropriate.
  • Coordinate daily with the General Manager and Service Department to align on pricing, scheduling, capacity, and customer commitments.
  • Proactively follow up on open quotes, nurture long-cycle opportunities, and reactivate dormant accounts.
  • Maintain accurate, disciplined records of all activity, contacts, conversations, and pipeline stages in Business Central and ServiceTrade.
  • Hit weekly and monthly activity, pipeline, and closed-service targets.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of outbound sales, account management, business development, or high-volume inside sales experience, preferably in industrial, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or related B2B environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships over the phone.
  • Strong listener with natural curiosity and the ability to ask good questions that uncover real opportunities.
  • Disciplined follow-up habits and the ability to manage many open conversations at once.
  • Comfortable learning technical product lines and translating customer needs into the right next step.
  • Proficient with CRM and ERP systems.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and accountable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in boilers, burners, pressure vessels, or industrial steam and hot water systems.
  • Experience selling service contracts, maintenance programs, or industrial aftermarket services.
  • Familiarity with facilities, manufacturing, healthcare, food and beverage, or institutional accounts.

Compensation:

Competitive base plus performance incentive tied to activity, closed service work, and qualified project leads. Full benefits, PTO, and 401(k).

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, with potential for Saturday shifts as needed.
