We highly value safety-conscious individuals with a positive attitude and a desire to advance with a winning team.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.Present pricing and process returns in accordance with company policy.Accurately process customers' transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.Provide accurate information regarding availability or in-stock items.Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits or products in order to improve product- related sales and customer satisfaction.Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, or reading trade journals.Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the distribution team.Assist in physical inventory and cycle counts.What you Need to Succeed:Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a related wholesale distribution businessMust be able to work within a team environment.Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsStrong customer service and excellent problem- solving skills required.Plumbing and HVAC experience preferred but not required.Maintain a strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.Working knowledge of Epicor Eclipse Software is a plus.Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal and MVR background check in accordance with company requirements.We are proud to offer:Competitive compensationBonus programComprehensive benefit program to include medical, dental, vision insurance and 401 kOngoing trainingGrowth opportunitiesIhrie Supply Company is a one-stop shop with a variety of Plumbing and HVAC options for plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractors, building contractors, city, county, state and federal governments, military bases, schools, colleges, hardware stores, kitchen and bath shops, builder markets, hospitals and industrial.
