Inside Sales Rep

Our client is a 100+ year-old American manufacturer of commercial furniture and a 100% employee-owned company. They are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team in an entry-level, on-site role. This position is ideal for someone who is personable, driven, and comfortable in a phone-based, goal-oriented environment. You'll focus on developing new business through outbound prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and setting meetings for the outside sales team, with hands-on training and a clear path toward taking on a full sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Make a high volume of outbound calls to prospective dealers and accounts
• Research target accounts and build prospect lists
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads and identify potential opportunities
• Schedule introductory meetings and product demonstrations for outside sales representatives
• Maintain accurate prospect and customer information and activity in the CRM
• Meet weekly and monthly goals for calls, qualified leads, and meetings booked
• Support outside sales with quotes, proposals, follow-up, and pipeline updates
• Prepare prospecting reports and summaries for the sales team and management
• Respond to sales inquiries and route questions to the appropriate team members

Skills / Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• No prior sales experience required; full training provided
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confident, personable, persistent, and comfortable on the phone
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and handling rejection professionally
• Curious and motivated to understand customer needs and solve problems
• Goal-oriented, competitive, and self-motivated
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with the sales team
