Inside Sales Representative

\nPosition Summary
\nThe Inside Sales Representative manages sales and customer support activities. This position serves as a primary customer contact for quotations, replacement parts, product information, and order support while proactively developing new business.
\nThe ideal candidate has a strong hunter/farmer sales mentality—growing existing accounts while identifying new customers, markets, applications, and sales opportunities.
\nEssential Responsibilities
\n· Manage customer inquiries, RFQs, quotations, orders, and follow-up activities.
\n· Obtain pricing, availability, lead times, and technical information and prepare accurate customer quotations.
\n· Follow up on quotations and open opportunities to increase sales and quote-to-order conversion.
\n· Process and monitor customer orders, resolving pricing, shipping, invoicing, and other discrepancies.
\n· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
\n· Conduct proactive outbound sales calls and prospect for new customers and markets.
\n· Re-engage inactive customers and develop new business opportunities.
\n· Develop working knowledge of products, applications, specifications, and replacement products.
\n· Review technical information and work with internal and supplier resources to recommend appropriate solutions.
\n· Maintain accurate customer, quotation, order, and sales activity records in ERP/CRM systems.
\n· Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, operations, and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
\n· Attend customer visits, trade shows, supplier meetings, and other business-development events as needed.
\nRequired Qualifications
\n· 3+ years of inside sales, customer service, or industrial sales/distribution experience preferred.
\n· Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
\n· Proven ability to develop relationships and generate new business through proactive sales activity.
\n· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
\n· Technical aptitude and ability to learn industrial products and applications.
\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience preferred.
\n· Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
\n· Willingness to travel up to 20%.
\nPreferred: Experience with OEM/industrial replacement parts, technical sales, motors, commutators, electrical equipment, or industrial components. Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
