Job Details

Position Overview
This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, handling both in-person and phone interactions to support sales and equipment rental needs. The individual will assist customers with product inquiries, generate orders, and coordinate fulfillment activities. Responsibilities also include preparing outbound shipments, receiving incoming materials, and supporting rental equipment logistics, including returns and condition inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Interact with customers professionally, both face-to-face and over the phone, to identify needs and provide solutions
Process sales and rental transactions based on customer requirements
Prepare order documentation such as pick tickets, packing lists, and bills of lading
Pull inventory and stage materials for shipment or customer pickup
Package and label outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery
Receive inbound shipments, verify contents, and stock materials appropriately
Inspect rental equipment upon check-out and return, documenting condition and noting any discrepancies
Communicate equipment repair needs in coordination with technical staff
Maintain accurate records of rental agreements and equipment status
Support inventory control efforts, including cycle counts and material transfers between locations
Handle incoming calls by routing or responding as appropriate
Assist with purchase order preparation and confirmations for internal teams
Process payments, including cash and credit transactions, in accordance with company procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety guidelines and ensure proper use of protective equipment
Perform additional duties as required to support branch operations


Qualifications

Familiarity with oilfield equipment, industrial tools, or similar products preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications or similar business systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.), or willingness to become certified within the first 30 days
Ability to safely handle financial transactions and maintain accuracy
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred


Work Environment

Combination of office, warehouse, and outdoor yard settings
Routine exposure to changing environmental conditions, including weather and temperature variations
Occasional exposure to noise, dust, and fumes typical of an industrial setting
Regular interaction with moving equipment and vehicles
Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities


Schedule

Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Flexibility required to work additional hours based on operational needs
Rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week per month)


Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening in accordance with company policy
Driving responsibilities may require meeting motor vehicle record standards
Position may fall under regulated drug testing requirements depending on job duties


Education & Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail, counter sales, or customer-facing environment required


Physical Demands

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
Capability to navigate uneven terrain in outdoor environments
Ability to perform repetitive movements and work extended periods on feet
Comfortable working with computers and performing data entry
Ability to operate a vehicle as required for job duties
