Position Summary
525 Technologies is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to generate new business opportunities and support the company's continued growth.
This role will focus on prospecting, identifying decision-makers, qualifying potential customers, scheduling discovery meetings, and maintaining consistent follow-up throughout the sales process. The Inside Sales Representative will work with businesses, schools, colleges, and other organizations to identify technology needs and connect qualified opportunities with the appropriate 525 Technologies team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, and other sales channels.
- Research prospective customers and identify key decision-makers.
- Generate and qualify new sales leads.
- Ask discovery questions to understand customer needs, challenges, budgets, and timelines.
- Schedule discovery meetings, consultations, and appropriate next steps.
- Follow up on leads, quotes, proposals, and open opportunities.
- Re-engage previous customers and inactive prospects.
- Build and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in the CRM.
- Work closely with sales and technical teams to communicate customer needs.
- Develop professional relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Meet established prospecting, lead generation, and sales activity expectations.
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of inside sales, business development, lead generation, B2B sales, or related experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with outbound calling and engaging new prospects.
- Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple leads and opportunities.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email, and sales tools.
- Ability to learn and communicate technical products and services.
- Self-motivated, professional, persistent, and customer-focused.
Preferred Experience
Experience with technology sales or any of the following is a plus:
- IT services and managed services
- Security cameras and access control
- Low-voltage and structured cabling
- Audiovisual technology
- Computer hardware and telecommunications
- Education technology
- Commercial technology solutions
