Our client is seeking an Inside Sales Representative who thrives on developing customer relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities. Our client is a privately owned industrial distributor serving contractors and commercial construction customers throughout Southern California. The company has built its reputation on responsive service, product expertise, and long-term customer relationships. As the business continues to grow, they are investing in sales professionals who are motivated to expand existing accounts while developing new customer relationships.
In this role, you will:
- Build and grow relationships with existing contractor and commercial customers while developing new business opportunities.
- Prospect new accounts through outbound phone calls, research, and follow-up with inactive customers.
- Prepare quotes, process customer orders, and provide accurate pricing, product availability, and delivery information.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell products that create additional value for customers.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives to coordinate customer activity and support key accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, follow up on quotations, and monitor sales activity to achieve assigned revenue goals.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or order desk experience.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships while generating new business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or order entry systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Motivation to prospect, overcome objections, and achieve sales goals.
