Inside Sales Representative, Division Production Software

Summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an Inside Sales Representative, Production Software for a remote position within the United States.

The Inside Sales Representative, Production Software is responsible for driving recurring revenue growth through software and hardware maintenance renewals, customer retention, and strategic account expansion. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging deep knowledge of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Production Software solutions to identify business needs, deliver value-based recommendations, and uncover opportunities for additional software, services, and digital transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, maintain accurate forecasts, collaborate closely with field sales and product teams, and consistently exceed revenue and customer satisfaction objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts with responsibility for renewal, retention, expansion, and growth objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of the software and hardware maintenance renewal process within an assigned sales territory and/or book of accounts.
  • Consistently engage existing customers to secure maintenance renewal revenue and identify opportunities for additional software, services, and support offerings.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies that identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling Production Software solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organizations.
  • Manage and track quote requests while maintaining accurate forecasts, opportunity records, and account plans within Salesforce CRM.
  • Generate sales proposals, maintain forecasts, create reports, and perform data management activities.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and key performance indicators, including renewal rates, call activity, opportunity generation, retention, and upsell revenue.
  • Analyze customer usage, business objectives, and market trends to proactively identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead customer renewal discussions and commercial negotiations to maximize retention and profitability.
  • Partner with field sales representatives, customer success teams, and technical specialists to support customer success and revenue growth.
  • Process orders, perform follow-up activities, and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, questions, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments to gather information, communicate updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Production Software solutions and organizational resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software sales, inside sales, account management, customer success, or related customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding revenue, retention, and customer growth objectives.
  • Experience managing software maintenance renewals, subscriptions, or recurring revenue business models.
  • Advanced experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for forecasting, pipeline management, and account planning.
  • Experience selling enterprise software, SaaS solutions, manufacturing software, quality management software, or industrial technology solutions preferred.
  • Experience with SalesLoft or similar sales engagement platforms preferred.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage technical users, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and business acumen skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including virtual presentation capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as BPCS, LX, or equivalent systems preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.

This is a remote position requiring frequent communication through virtual channels and use of standard office equipment.

  • Frequently communicates with customers, internal teams, and business stakeholders through telephone, email, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Frequently remains in a stationary position while performing computer-based work.
  • Manual dexterity required for keyboard use, operating office equipment, and handling documents.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular use of computers, telephones, and virtual collaboration tools.
  • May require occasional travel up to 10% for meetings, training, customer visits, or company events.
