What You’ll Do
As an Inside Sales Representative you will be responsible for writing orders, taking calls, preparing project bids, following up on orders and providing overall customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Acts as the go-to person for solving problems, addressing technologies, and providing technical expertise on APR products.
- Builds trust and accountability with customers, becoming the person everyone wants to work with.
- Generates customer quotations, bids, submittals and follows up on requested quotes.
- Effectively uses Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and phone system.
- Collaborates with APR teammates to provide outstanding customer service.
- Assists in multiple behind-the-scenes sales functions, addressing customer concerns, recommending products, and providing backup support.
- Writes orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provides troubleshooting and technical support.
- Identifies opportunities for value-added services and articulates solutions. Identifies and encourages the sale of additional products.
- Continues education on the latest updates through various channels.
- Handles product procurement.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems, addressing pricing deductions and material returns.
Required for Success
- Prior experience withing the Plumbing & HVAC industries: Inside sales representatives should be able to assist customers with determining the correct product for their needs
- Excellent communication skills: Inside sales representatives need to effectively communicate with clients over the phone, email, and other digital channels to understand their needs and convey product or service offerings.
- Strong interpersonal skills: Building rapport and fostering relationships with customers is crucial for inside sales success.
- Persuasive selling abilities: Inside sales reps should be adept at persuading potential customers to make purchasing decisions and overcome objections.
- Time management and organization: Managing multiple leads and sales processes simultaneously requires strong time management and organizational skills.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, sales automation tools, and other technology platforms used in sales processes is essential for inside sales representatives.
- Adaptability: Inside sales environments can be dynamic, so the ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs is vital.
- Product knowledge: Having a deep understanding of the products or services being sold enables inside sales reps to effectively address customer inquiries and provide tailored solutions.
- Results-driven mindset: Inside sales representatives should be motivated by meeting and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on driving revenue and achieving measurable results.
