Job Profile The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales, maintaining ongoing customer engagement, providing support, and managing accounts. Sales are generated through various channels, including leads from outside sales reps, vendor partners, new and existing customer inquiries via phone, email, or the company website. The role requires proactive account cultivation, regardless of how the opportunity arises. Responsibilities Quote Creation: Generate quotations daily, aiming to provide competitive pricing and lead times while maintaining or exceeding company margin goals. Proactively anticipate customer needs, suggest additional products based on their buying history, promote new items, and establish stocking programs and contracts to drive long-term business
.Quote Follow-up: Routinely follow up on open quotes with the goal of converting them into sales for Netceed. For quotes that do not result in orders, document reasons for lost sales, ensuring that this feedback is captured in the ERP and CRM systems for future analysis and reporting.
Sales Order Execution: Accurately process customer orders in a timely manner to meet SLAs and ensure on-time delivery. Maintain a high standard of order accuracy, providing consultative support to customers who may have missed essential items. Always issue sales order acknowledgments, allowing customers to verify order details and address any discrepancies.
Utilize Tools Efficiently: Consistently and accurately use the company ERP system and CRM software to document customer activity. Leverage internal tools such as Data Reporting Software, Netceed website, freight tracking systems, and customer/vendor portals to execute routine tasks.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Outside Sales, Product Line Management, Engineering, Purchasing,, Marketing, Finance, and Warehouse Operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities related to customer orders and account management.
Special Program Support: Support special programs when required including servicing walk-in customers, becoming familiar with customers’ proprietary purchasing systems, and assisting with RFPs and Special Supply Chain requirements from established accounts.
Continuous Improvement: Commit to consistently staying abreast of product changes or applications, and a dedication to constantly improve selling skills. Similarly, identify and communicate ideas for continuous improvement of processes.
Requirements/Key Experiences Ability to interface with Suppliers, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering concerning pricing, availability, and sourcing issues.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred.
