Company Operational Summary: Collision Auto Parts, comprised of three entities that operate distribution facilities across California and New Mexico, is a leading value-added distributor of certified and non-certified aftermarket collision repair parts. COL’s product categories include bumper covers, grilles, fender lines, hoods, tail lamps, head lamps and others. Collision Auto Parts utilizes a robust fleet of trucks to deliver parts to customers on a daily basis. Through tenured supplier relationships and a dedicated commitment to customer service, the Company has been able to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with national and regional MSOs and local collision repair providers.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Order Call Representative to join our dynamic team in the auto parts industry. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for customers placing orders by phone, providing product information, checking availability, and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Title – Inside Sales Representative I or II
Reports to – Sales Supervisor
Shifts – (M-F)
Onsite in San Diego, CA
Salary Range $20-25 per hour
Specifications of Responsibilities:
Handle inbound calls from customers placing orders for automotive parts and accessories. Average 80+ inbound calls per day
Provide expert product guidance, availability, pricing, and compatibility information based on vehicle make, model, and year.
Enter and process sales orders in the company’s order management or ERP system accurately and promptly.
Verify part numbers and stock levels using internal databases or supplier catalogs.
Upsell or suggest alternative/replacement parts when appropriate to meet customer needs.
Coordinate with the warehouse, shipping, and inventory teams to confirm delivery timelines and resolve fulfillment issues.
Respond to customer inquiries related to order status, returns, or warranty information with professionalism and urgency.
Document call details and customer interactions in CRM or ticketing systems to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Meet or exceed individual and team performance metrics, such as call handling time, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of customer service or sales order experience, preferably in the auto parts or automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and parts terminology is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal communication skills and active listening abilities.
Proficient in order entry systems, CRM platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, NetSuite), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong computer and software skills required
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to read basic English for invoice purposes.
Good communication with co-workers and customers.
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
Punctuality and reliability are essential
Standard hours with some flexibility depending on call volume and shift coverage.
Must be flexible to learn and improve on the job
Career Level
This position may be filled at either the Inside Sales Representative I or Inside Sales Representative II level based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated ability.
Pay Range: $20.00–$22.50 per hour
The Level I role is intended for individuals who possess foundational customer service or sales experience and are developing their knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Employees at this level are expected to:

The Level II role is designed for experienced inside sales professionals who can independently manage customer relationships and provide technical product guidance. Candidates typically demonstrate:
Placement into Level I or Level II will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, technical knowledge, interview performance, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Advancement from Level I to Level II is based on demonstrated performance, mastery of the role, business needs, and management approval.
