The Inside Sales Representative - Services supports the growth of Landmark Structures' Tank Services business by assisting with customer development, opportunity management, proposal preparation, and account support activities. This role works closely with Sr. Sales Representatives to identify sales opportunities, maintain customer relationships, and support the delivery of long-term asset management programs for municipal water utilities.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, customer-focused professional who is interested in consultative selling within the municipal water and infrastructure market. This position serves as a developmental sales role, providing exposure to technical sales, account management, municipal procurement processes, and asset management solutions while building the skills necessary for future advancement within the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Support Sr. Sales Representatives in developing and maintaining relationships with municipal water utilities, public works departments, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Research existing and prospective customers to identify service, maintenance, inspection, rehabilitation, and asset management opportunities.
  • Assist in qualifying leads and developing opportunities through customer outreach, market research, and follow-up communications.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, presentations, and follow-up activities to support business development efforts.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, qualification packages, presentations, quotations, and other sales documentation.
  • Support the development and submission of responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other procurement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity tracking, and sales activities within CRM systems.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates, inspection schedules, and recurring service opportunities to support customer retention and revenue growth.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries and coordinate with operations and other internal teams to facilitate timely responses.
  • Assist in tracking pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Participate in customer visits, industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to support business development efforts.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of Landmark's inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation, coating, and asset management services.
  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives by maintaining regular communication and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Construction Management, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field preferred

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, account management, business development, or a related role preferred.
  • Experience supporting municipal, utility, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or service-based organizations is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems, proposal development, or customer relationship management is a plus.

  • Effective time management skills and ability to work independently with appropriate supervision.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management practices.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with customers and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to high standards of business ethics, integrity, and customer service.
  • Willingness to learn municipal procurement processes and public-sector sales practices.

Travel

  • Ability to travel across an assigned territory to conduct in-person meetings and presentations.
