Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative serves as a primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service, technical product support, and sales assistance. This role is responsible for managing customer inquiries, generating quotes, processing orders, sourcing products, and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sales experience, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Prepare and provide accurate product quotations and pricing information.
  • Process customer orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Source products and coordinate purchasing activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Negotiate sales and purchase pricing when appropriate.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and promote products and services.
  • Monitor and expedite backorders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with inventory management and shipment preparation as needed.
  • Process customer returns and resolve order-related issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Troubleshoot customer concerns and provide effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service, inside sales, or sales support experience required.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain processes and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Work Experience

  • Experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, or order management preferred.
  • Experience working with industrial products, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management, purchasing, or product sourcing is a plus.
