    JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Inside Sales Specialist to join our growing team.

    External Job Description

    The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and growing customer relationships, identifying and advancing sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth within an assigned territory while operating remotely. This role proactively engages dealers and customers by monitoring top quotes, understanding opportunity specifics, and moving qualified opportunities into the sales pipeline in close partnership with the sales team.

    The ISR owns territory revenue performance and focuses on recapturing sales from customers with declining purchasing activity while ensuring JELDWEN remains the customer's preferred product. Through outbound calls, emails, and MS Teams meetings-as well as responsive handling of inbound inquiries the role provides sales support, technical assistance, and training related to the company's quoting system. By combining proactive selling with consistent follow up on open issues, the ISR drives strong customer engagement, increased adoption of quoting tools, and sustained revenue growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Proactively engage customers through outbound calls, emails, and follow up activities to generate, qualify, and advance sales opportunities.
    • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products, programs, and solutions.
    • Research, qualify, and pursue new leads while maintaining consistent engagement with existing customers.
    • Close sales, upsell products and services, and consistently achieve assigned sales targets.
    • Respond to customer inquiries by answering questions, providing additional information, and explaining product features and benefits.
    • Provide sales support, technical assistance, and guidance related to company products, services, and quoting systems.
    • Maintain accurate and up to date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity in CRM systems.
    • Monitor product, service, and competitive information to effectively position solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., operations, customer experience, warranty, or facility teams) to resolve customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
    • Support a positive customer experience by maintaining professionalism, responsiveness, and composure in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
    • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Minimum of 4 years of total relevant experience, which may be a combination of window or door manufacturing, production and machining, inside or outside sales and/or customer service.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively present information one on‑ ‑one or in small groups.
    • Strong listening, problem solving‑, and sales skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in customer-facing‑ situations.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Strong phone presence and outbound calling skills.
    • Ability to consistently achieve performance and sales targets.
    • Customer focused‑ mindset with commitment to delivering a positive experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • An associate degree in business, technical discipline, or related field.
    • Prior Inside Sales experience.
    • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce
    • Experience supporting technical or manufactured products

    This role may be performed remotely within the U.S. Preference may be given to candidates located in or near Charlotte, NC.
