Are you someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving problems, following up on opportunities, and helping turn conversations into sales?

Midwest Fastener is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist to help grow our business. This is a hands-on sales role for someone who enjoys working directly with customers and prospects while partnering with our outside sales team to develop opportunities and grow existing business.

You don't need to come from the fastener industry. We're looking for someone personable, organized, comfortable talking with customers, willing to learn our products, and motivated by results.

What You'll Do 

In this role, you will:

• Build relationships and follow up consistently with customers and prospects by phone, email, and other channels — keeping leads, quotes, and opportunities moving forward.
• Prepare accurate customer quotes (pricing, specs, availability, lead times) and manage them through our CRM/ERP systems.
• Partner with outside sales reps to identify opportunities, support customer needs, and reach out to prospective customers to help develop new business.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer questions and issues.
• Support sales campaigns, promotions, and trade shows.
• Use available and emerging tools — to stay organized, work efficiently, and look for ways to improve the process.

Experience 

• 2+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, account management, business development, or another customer-facing role preferred.
• Distribution, hardware, construction, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
• Experience with CRM or ERP systems is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is helpful but not required with relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

About the Position 

This is a full-time, on-site position at Midwest Fastener's Kalamazoo-area headquarters. Some travel may be required for customer visits, trade shows, or other sales activities.
