    Job Summary

    We're looking for a QC Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and quality requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining airworthiness standards, verifying repair and maintenance activities, and supporting the safe return to service of aviation components.

    Shift: 3rd shift, Monday-Friday 10:30p-7:00a

    Shift Differential: Provide hourly shift differential

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Perform incoming, in-process, hidden damage, and final inspections on aerospace components.
    • Verify part numbers, serial numbers, documentation, and certifications against customer and regulatory requirements.
    • Interpret drawings, specifications, OEM maintenance manuals, travelers, and repair instructions.
    • Use calibrated inspection equipment and precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and hardness testers.
    • Ensure all inspections and maintenance records are accurately completed and documented.
    • Verify compliance with FAA, EASA, CAAC, UK CAA, customer, and internal quality requirements.
    • Identify and report quality concerns, system deficiencies, unapproved materials, or conditions outside approved repair station capabilities.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support new repairs, process improvements, and workflow optimization.
    • Cross-train on a variety of component inspections and maintenance processes.
    • Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.

    What We're Looking For

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum one (1) year of quality inspection, manufacturing, maintenance, aviation, or related technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and effectively communicate in English.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, OEM maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
    • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
    • Basic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions.
    • Good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, customers, and auditors.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced production environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
    • Repairman Certificate with Return to Service Authorization.
    • Aerospace maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), manufacturing, or inspection experience.
    • Knowledge of FAA, EASA, or other civil aviation regulatory requirements.
    • Experience working within an AS9100, FAA Repair Station, or similarly regulated quality system.
    • Experience operating industrial trucks or electric hoists.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Work is performed in a manufacturing and aerospace repair environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.
    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of aerospace components and inspection equipment.
    • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials and components.
    • Must pass an eye examination required for inspection personnel.
    • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety requirements.

    This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

    The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
