C.H. Thompson is currently seeking an Inspection Team Lead to join our team. The Inspection Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily workflow within the inspection department to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are met. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and team management skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

  • Lead and support the inspection team in daily operations
  • Monitor production schedules and department progress to ensure on-time delivery performance
  • Communicate potential delays, manpower concerns, or overtime needs to upper management proactively
  • Assist hands-on with departmental tasks including unmasking, touch-up work, inspection support, and other production activities as needed
  • Assign and adjust work tasks based on employee strengths, workflow efficiency, and department priorities
  • Identify bottlenecks within processes and actively assist the team to maintain production flow
  • Ensure employees are following company policies, procedures, quality standards, and work instructions
  • Maintain a strong floor presence and provide leadership, accountability, and motivation to the team
  • Encourage teamwork, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the department
  • Speak up when processes appear inefficient or unclear and work with management to improve operations
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Customer Service teams to support overall company goals
  • Assist in training and developing employees within the department

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated leadership skills preferred (e.g., previous supervisory roles, high school/collegiate sports team captains, or student organization leaders)
    • Manufacturing or production environment experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to hold employees accountable

Shift Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 3:30pm, Friday 6:30am-12:30pm

 

Total Compensation Package:

  • Wage
    • $19.00 - $23.00/ hour
    • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
