Key Responsibilities
Complete and file quality records including receiving files and non-conforming material reports.
Ability to work with other departments if a problem or discrepancy is found and keeping careful records.
Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records.
Read and understand drawings and specifications
Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications
General knowledge of measuring tools
Good mechanical aptitude and close attention to detail
Ensure that all documents and material received in the receiving are of satisfactory quality
Must possess the ability to perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis as related to sampling.
Perform all Quality Control activities as required to ensure that plans and objectives are completed.
Assist with resolving quality problems within the inspection department, such as documentation or non-compliance issues
Liaise with Service QA and Manufacturing engineers and others involved in production to create plans to improve product quality
Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, pin gauges, go/no-gauge, etc.) to verify mechanical part compliance.
Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify parts dimensions against drawing requirement
Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge
Basic familiarity with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to utilize a computer to enter data and prepare reports
Ability to lift a 50 lb load from the floor
Majority of time is spent standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
Ability to be able to work with limited supervision.
