PGS Worldwide is seeking an Inspector in Oldsmar, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on inspection of circuit card assemblies, including solder connections and conformal coating, to ensure compliance with IPC standards and manufacturing specifications. You will work in a detailed inspection environment using technical documentation and precision measurement tools.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of visual solder inspection experience (SMT and through-hole) in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001
- Ability to navigate IPC standards and determine accept/reject criteria
- Experience interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and inspection instructions
- Experience using measuring devices such as dial indicators, micrometers, and scales
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Proficiency with personal computers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of operations
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to pass required medical exam
What You’ll Do
- Perform visual inspection of solder connections and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies
- Inspect assemblies in accordance with IPC standards and manufacturing specifications
- Use measuring equipment and inspection tools to verify product quality
- Follow process instructions, drawings, and inspection checklists
- Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and nonconformances
- Communicate quality issues with production and operations teams
- Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
- Support adherence to quality standards and procedures
Work Schedule / Shift
- Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (overtime on weekends as needed)
